  • Fresh lemons — 5-6 pieces
  • Pure alcohol (96%) or high-purity moonshine — 500 ml
  • Sugar — 400 g
  • Water — 500 ml

Step-by-Step Preparation Process:

  1. Preparing the lemons: Wash the lemons thoroughly and use a vegetable peeler to remove the zest, avoiding the bitter white pith.
  2. Infusion: Place the lemon zest in a glass jar and pour in the alcohol or moonshine. Seal tightly and leave in a cool, dark place for 10-14 days. Shake the jar daily.
  3. Making the syrup: After the infusion period, prepare a simple syrup by dissolving the sugar in hot water. Let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Mixing: Strain the lemon infusion through cheesecloth or a fine sieve to remove the zest. Mix the infusion with the cooled sugar syrup.
  5. Aging: Pour the liqueur into bottles, seal tightly, and let it sit for 5-7 days to allow the flavors to stabilize.
